Recycling facility at Lowgate

As you may know a new village hall is to be built on land at Lowgate.
Work is due to start soon, and this means the recycling banks will be removed from the site on 30th April 2018.
The nearest alternative sites are at:

• Park Road car park in Milnthorpe, where there are banks for plastic, card and paper

• Asda and Morrisons in Kendal, where there are banks for plastic, card, glass, cans and paper; as well as charity banks for textiles.

• There is also a Household Waste Recycling Centre at Canal Head in Kendal, which is open from 8am to 4pm every day with staff on site to help with a wide range of waste and recycling facilities.

South Lakeland District Council have worked with the Parish Council and Levens Stores to provide a stock of recycling bags for cans and plastic for collection. Please call in if you need an additional bag for the kerbside collection service.
South Lakeland District Council will be at Levens Stores from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday 24th April with boxes and bags for collection.
